Multi-function wearable gesture control from Thalmic Labs (@thalmic). This is such an exciting piece of tech. I doubt it’s ‘remote control for anything’ bit lives up to the video but it does look like a load of fun. Would kill to get my hands on one to play with.

This is incredible! So VR isn’t anything new and neither are the headsets. The technology has existed for decades, never quite fulfilling it’s promise. Oculus however look like they’ve cracked it.

Importantly this hardware in particular represents a step on the path to true real world augmentation when you think about it working in conjunction with other tech currently out there. Definitely my Best of E3.

While you’d be forgiven for thinking that a blog comprising of daily charts on index cards doesn’t sound like it’d keep you entertained for more than a nanosecond. But the social commentary diagramed in these drawing is well worth blowing some time on.

The effects in the video are rendered in real time and are captured live — not special effects added in post processing.
